Residential Assistant Real Estate Assessments ManagerThe Real Estate Assessments Office of Prince William County government is searching for a Residential Assistant Real Estate Assessments Manager in Woodbridge, Virginia. This position supervises 2-4 appraisal staff who perform professional work in the appraisal of real property (residential and vacant land) for assessment purposes.This is a supervisory position that is responsible for analyzing property values, training new residential appraisers, and supervising subordinate staff members and department projects. They will:Supervise staff, including day-to-day operations as well as prioritizing, assigning and scheduling work and conducting performance evaluations.Train all new residential appraisers.Conducts complex appraisals of real property and appraisal reviews.Provides customer assistance to citizens, other departments or other parties regarding appraisal processes.Make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or G.E.D. and 7 years of combined assessment and supervisory experience, to include at least 2 years of supervisory experience and at least 3 years of experience appraising property for ad valorem tax purposes.Preferences:Bachelor's degree in an analytical or related fieldBe detail-oriented, accurate, and meticulousExcellent communication and customer service skillsExcellent supervisory skillsExcellent teamwork skillsStrong statistical analysis skillsClear and concise communication skillsSpecial Requirements:Must have a valid driver's license.Work Schedule: In person Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00 at our Woodbridge office.Hiring Salary Range: $82,777.50 to $111,033.00/yr.We also offer great benefits, including:Retirement from the Virginia Retirement System (VRS)401a and 457 retirement savings and investment plansPaid Annual LeavePaid Personal LeavePaid Sick LeavePaid HolidaysOptional Group Medical and Dental Health PlansOptional Group Life InsuranceAn Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Career Development OpportunitiesFull-time positions with Prince William County Government qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
