Central Contract Specialist

Central Contract Specialist Job Order: J0426-2703 - Permanent Full Time Location: Walnut Creek, California, United States Responsibilities Report to the Asset Manager/Central Services Manager in carrying out core task processing. Manage a portfolio of assisted housing contracts to ensure accurate and timely completion of all required tasks, including: reconciliation of monthly payments to property owners; renewal of expiring Housing Assistance Payments contracts; annual contract rent adjustments; evaluation and approval of owner claims for reimbursement due to unpaid rent, tenant damages, and vacancies; maintenance of property files and records retention in accordance with HUD and corporate policy; and maintenance of positive relations with owners, residents, representatives, neighborhood groups, and local governments. Assist property owners and staff with renewals of affordable housing contracts, determination of annual rent adjustments, reconciliation of monthly payment requests, and processing of claims for unpaid rent, damages, and extended vacancies. Use CGI’s proprietary IT systems and Microsoft Office Suite to accomplish day-to-day tasks. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred or significant relevant experience in lieu of education. Professional, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks each with varying deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Mathematics, data entry, record keeping, and account management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Compensation Estimated range: $38,400.00 – $77,400.00.
