Outside Sales Representative
Broadband / Telecommunications Distribution

Position Overview
We are working with a growing distributor in the broadband and telecommunications industry seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to expand its customer base and drive new revenue across Texas and Oklahoma.

This is a relationship-driven, new-business sales role for someone who is already well established in the industry. Candidates must bring a strong, active network of end-client relationships they can leverage to generate business.

This is not an enterprise sales position focused on lengthy corporate sales cycles or navigating large national accounts. The ideal candidate has built their career selling directly to end users and decision-makers within broadband, telecom, utilities, municipalities, ISPs, contractors, or closely related markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage an existing end-client network to identify and generate new business.
• Develop new accounts and expand revenue throughout the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain direct relationships with contractors, utilities, municipalities, ISPs, telecommunications providers, and other end users.
• Manage the sales process from initial conversation through quoting, negotiation, and close.
• Conduct customer visits, product discussions, and sales meetings.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Coordinate with internal sales teams, manufacturers, and vendor partners to support customers.
• Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as needed.
• Stay current on market activity, products, competitors, and customer demand.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of outside sales experience.
• Established and active end-client network within broadband, telecommunications, utilities, fiber infrastructure, electrical distribution, or a closely related market.
• Demonstrated ability to turn existing industry relationships into new sales opportunities and revenue.
• Proven history of developing new accounts and growing a territory.
• Experience selling directly to customers/end users rather than primarily managing enterprise or strategic corporate accounts.
• Strong understanding of relationship-based, territory sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Self-directed and comfortable operating independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to travel for customer meetings and industry events.
• Must reside in Texas or Oklahoma.

We are specifically interested in sales professionals who can step into the role with an established book of relationships and begin opening doors quickly. This is not intended for someone looking to build an industry network from scratch.

• Utilities and municipalities
• OSP/fiber construction companies
• Regional operators and service providers
• Other direct purchasers of broadband and telecommunications products

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $100,000–$200,000, based on experience, industry relationships, and demonstrated sales history.
