Oxley Rich Sammons, PLLC is searching for an Executive Legal Secretary to assist attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complex and substantive legal tasks requiring knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process. The Legal Secretary is required to handle strict confidential client and firm data in a professional and ethical manner and provide attorneys and paralegals with assistance as defined below.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide support to assigned attorney(s) and paralegal(s)

2. Format documents into final form, proofread, copy, scan, mail, etc.

3. Proficient at typing documents

3. Process incoming and outgoing mail

4. File/e-file documents with courts and/or agencies

5. Experience in calendaring legal deadlines

6. Opening/closing files, consistent with department and firm practice

7. Manage data and prepare presentations as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. Associate or four-year degree required.

2. Professional demeanor

3. Previous experience working with and managing large sets of documents a plus

4. Previous experience in real estate, and estate planning, also a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

Successful candidates must have prior experience working in a law firm, the ability to manage large document productions, strong written and oral communication skills as well as solid analytical skills.

Salary commensurate with legal experience
