Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

A rewarding opportunity awaits a Nurse Practitioner in a leading healthcare facility with a 16-bed acuity-adaptable Pediatric Cardiac Care Center. This position involves caring for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting. The role offers rotating 13-hour day and night shifts, with efforts made not to schedule day and night shifts within the same week. This is a locum tenens role of 6-9 months, where you will serve as a primary covering provider and should be comfortable managing patients with congenital heart disease, including those with complex anatomy and physiology.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease
- Care for high-acuity patients, including pre- and post-operative cardiac surgical cases
- Work with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists
- Provide care for occasional adult congenital heart disease patients and PICU boarders

Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU as an Advanced Practice Provider
- Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner
- Active New York State RN and Nurse Practitioner licensures in good standing
- Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- BLS certification from AHA and PALS certification from ABA
- Knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and physiology

Working Hours
Rotating 13-hour shifts, with approximately 50% day shifts and 50% night shifts; on-call and weekends as per unit needs
