ED RN

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, compassionate, and timely care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, 36-bed Emergency Department. The RN is responsible for rapid assessment, prioritization, intervention, and evaluation of patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions. This role demands strong critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills to deliver effective patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive and focused assessments of patients with emergent, urgent, or non-urgent conditions.
• Triage patients using evidence-based protocols to determine acuity levels and initiate appropriate care.
• Provide rapid intervention and stabilization for medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital policy and provider orders.
• Operate and monitor medical equipment including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare team members.
• Coordinate patient care, including diagnostic testing, re-evaluation, disposition planning, and patient education.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols as required.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety guidelines, and hospital standards.
• Support a culture of patient-centered care, empathy, and service excellence in a high-volume Emergency Department environment.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma (or compact license).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Competency in trauma care, cardiac care, and stabilizing critically ill patients.
• At least 2 years of experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or high-acuity settings preferred.

• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification.
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification.

• Fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department environment with frequent exposure to trauma and critical illness.
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and performing physical tasks throughout shifts.
• Collaboration with a diverse healthcare team and EMS partners serving the community.

• Day shifts in a 36-bed Emergency Department.
• Shift assignments are based on departmental needs and may require flexibility.
