About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years preferred; will accept 2 years with strong experience License: Current nursing license required Certifications: C-EFM BLS NRP STABLE ACLS preferred Must-Have: Completed at least 1 travel assignment Scrub experience preferred Charge experience preferred Cerner experience Float required in mother/baby and scrub Call required - 2 shifts per 6-week schedule Every other weekend required Description: The position requires a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. C-EFM certification through NCC must be held at the time of submission. Local candidates within a specified distance may be accepted. Certifications required include BLS, NRP, C-EFM, and STABLE. ACLS certification is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with 3 years of experience are preferred, but candidates with 2 years of strong experience may also apply. Experience in charge nursing is preferred. Candidates must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. Float within mother/baby and scrub is a requirement. On-call shifts are required at a specified frequency. Every other weekend is also mandatory. The facility experiences an average monthly birth rate that is categorized. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults. The unit receives various patient diagnoses, such as hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and gestational diabetes. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various teams, such as respiratory services and social services. Skills required include administration of blood products, assisting with high-risk deliveries, and postpartum care. Candidates must possess knowledge and competencies relevant to labor and delivery nursing practices. The role involves high-level patient care and requires adherence to strict protocols and procedures. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent clinical judgment. Flexibility to meet unit needs is essential.
