Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and organization of hotel rooms and public places, managing housekeeping staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulation .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Housekeeping Staff : Manage and coordinate the activities of housekeeping personnel, ensuring they adhere to cleanliness and safety standards.
• Training and Development : Train new staff and provide ongoing training to existing employees to maintain high standards of service and efficiency.
• Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels of linens, room supplies, cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages. Maintaining par levels.
• Quality Control : Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
• Guest Relations : Address guest complaints and special requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Budget Management : Assist in managing the housekeeping budget, ensuring that payroll and supply costs remain within budgetary constraints.
• Reporting : Prepare reports for management regarding housekeeping operations, staff performance, and inventory levels.
• Employee Relations: Partners with HR for any issues pertaining to staff including disciplinary actions and related issues.
• Payroll: Is responsible to maintain accurate payroll records, edit timecards appropriately and submit payroll completion according to timeframes given.
• Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years of hotel or resort operations leadership experience required.
  • 5+ years prior experience as a housekeeper.
  • Competent in written and verbal communication.
  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to handle pressure situations and exercise good judgment.
  • Experience in Laundry operation and OSHA safety standards.
  • Experienced with basic computer skills and operating systems.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including weekends and holidays
