Senior / Principal: $70-75/hr C2C


Junior: $60-65/hr C2C


Notes:

• No ROPES assessment required.
• Candidates must be legitimate Solutions Architects (not Tech Leads or Infrastructure-focused). Infrastructure background is a hard no.
• GCP + AI/Agentic AI/GenAI experience must be prominent throughout the resume.
• Strong preference for candidates who have worked at large enterprises such as CVS, Capital One (highly preferred), UHG, Cigna, Express Scripts, or similar.

Role Overview


We are seeking two strong Solutions Architects (one Junior, one Senior/Principal) to drive business solution designs for key strategic initiatives within CVS Pharmacy Services Segment (PSS) IT. These roles focus on end-to-end architecture across business, applications/integration, data, platform, and security domains, with a heavy emphasis on GCP and AI (including Agentic AI and GenAI).


The Senior/Principal role acts as the chief SME architect for major strategic initiatives, providing cradle-to-grave solution leadership, advising senior leadership on technical vision, and accelerating the modernization journey in alignment with Enterprise IT strategy.

Required Qualifications (Both Levels - Scale Depth by Level)


Must-Have Technical Experience

• Strong hands-on GCP implementation and architecture experience (4+ years required for Senior; solid experience required for Junior). GCP Architect certification preferred.
• Deep expertise in Agentic AI , GenAI, and applying AI/ML + RPA to solve business problems.
• SME-level understanding of cloud design and architecture (GCP preferred) for large-scale distributed enterprise solutions.
• Strong application & integration architecture skills.
• Experience with technologies that bridge modern apps and legacy systems (especially Apache Kafka / streaming platforms).
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD) knowledge.
• Hands-on coding skills and ability to build prototypes/POCs using modern stacks (Cloud, Agentic AI, DevSecOps, Kafka, etc.).
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with DevSecOps, DataOps, Agile/XP methodologies.
• Security and automation expertise.
• Ability to facilitate cloud-native / cloud-first architectures.

Senior / Principal Specific

• 10+ years design/development experience.
• Proven cradle-to-grave solution leadership and accountability for strategic initiatives.
• Buy-vs-Build analysis experience.
• Architecture & design review leadership.
• Experience developing reference architectures for cloud-native applications.
• Cost optimization and technical debt reduction.
• Ability to clear technical roadblocks and mentor/upskill teams.
• Thought leadership and influence with senior leadership.

Domain & Soft Skills

• Healthcare domain knowledge strongly preferred (PBM / Pharmacy Services experience a plus).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Ability to teach and mentor.

What We Do Not Want

• Infrastructure / Ops / pure Platform Engineer backgrounds.
• Candidates whose experience is primarily Tech Lead / delivery management without clear Solutions Architecture ownership.
• Resumes that lack visible, repeated evidence of GCP + AI/Agentic AI work.

Preferred Background

• Candidates who have delivered architecture at scale at large enterprises (CVS, Capital One, UHG, Cigna, Express Scripts, etc.).
