RN Weekend SupervisorThe RN Weekend Supervisor serves as the nursing leader for weekend operations. This position guides and supports nursing staff, responds to changes in resident condition, ensures care plans and clinical standards are followed, and helps maintain continuity of care.The RN Weekend Supervisor is a trusted clinical resource for residents, families, physicians, and the nursing team. Through strong clinical judgment, communication, accountability, and hands-on leadership, this role helps create a safe and supportive environment where residents receive the care they need, and staff have the guidance and support necessary to provide it.ResponsibilitiesServe as the on-site clinical leader on weekends.Use judgment on when to contact the on-call nurse leaders, Weekend ER Clinical Liaison, or Administrator.During rounds, observes, assesses, documents, and reports resident condition/changesAssures implementation of care plans as directedAdministers medications as prescribedConduct rounds with physician and record visits in clinical recordsPerform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shiftsIdentifies significant changes in the condition of residents and takes necessary action per facility policies and proceduresOversee and monitor aidesInitiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policyDischarge residents per facility policyMust complete Nursing Assessment for Physician Calls prior to calling physician on any change in resident conditionCommunicate with resident's point of contact when they ask for a status update or if there is a change in conditionOther special projects or functions can be assigned at times by the Director of Nursing and/or the AdministratorQualificationsEducational/Training RequirementsHas completed a RN program at an accredited vocational school, college, or universityLicensing RequirementsMust be an active Registered Nurse in the state of Texas in good standingExperience RequirementsExperience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.Physical Job Requirements:Lifting 1–50 lbs - FrequentLifting 25-50 lbs - Occasionally Lifting 50+ lbs - RarelyCarrying 1–25 lbs - Frequent Carrying 25–50+ lbs - RarelyPushing / Pulling 1–50+ lbs - OccasionallySliding / Transferring 1–50+ lbs - FrequentStanding / Walking - Frequently Sitting / Balancing / Climbing / Crouching / Crawling - Rarely Speaking / Hearing / Seeing - Frequently Stooping / Kneeling - Rarely Reaching - Occasionally Turning / Twisting / Leaning - OccasionallyDriving - RarelyJob InfoJob Identification 870667Job Category FacilityJob Schedule Full timeLocations 1341 Blalock Rd, Houston, TX, 77055, US
