At its core, Stripe is building the financial infrastructure for the internet, and the Procurement Enablement team plays a critical role in powering that mission from within. We partner closely with internal systems teams, finance, and operational teams across Stripe's global Procurement organization to diagnose inefficiency, redesign how work gets done, and build the systems and tools that make better processes stick. As part of Procurement Enablement, you'll work at the intersection of process design, operational analytics, and emerging technology, identifying where friction exists, mapping what great looks like, and deploying AI-powered solutions as one of many tools to drive lasting operational change at scale.

As a Procurement Operations and Transformation PgM, you'll combine deep process thinking, analytical rigor, and hands-on technical capability to fundamentally improve how Stripe's global procurement organization operates. You'll diagnose workflow inefficiencies, design better operating models, and build or deploy AI-powered tools that make those improvements permanent and scalable. Embedded directly within Procurement teams — Strategic Sourcing, Third Party Risk, Contracting, Procurement Operations, etc. — you'll be equally comfortable whiteboarding a process map, pulling and interpreting operational data, and shipping an automation that removes manual work for good. Your measure of success is the number of workflows you've permanently transformed and the extent to which those in your global team start any task with an AI tool.

Responsibilities include identifying and documenting the highest-leverage workflow transformations within your group's day-to-day work by understanding their processes and outputs; building and maintaining a structured backlog of workflow improvement opportunities, using data and stakeholder input to sequence work effectively; building and deploying AI-powered tools, automations, and intelligent workflows that eliminate manual effort and enhance procurement capabilities, including autonomous agents, data products, and integrations with Stripe's procurement tech stack; working across Procurement Enablement and partner teams to uncover AI use cases, document requirements, and translate complex procurement workflows into scalable technical solutions; coaching and partnering across Procurement through a progressive journey: from awareness, to first win, to regular AI integration, to full workflow transformation, to self-sufficiency; developing operating models, SOPs, and process documentation that make improved ways of working repeatable and scalable; and teaching Procurement SMEs not just to use AI tools, but to design, build, and oversee their own automated workflows over time.

Minimum requirements include 5+ years of professional experience in a role requiring critical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration including direct experience in procurement, supply chain, finance operations, consulting, or a related operational function; demonstrated, hands-on experience building AI-powered tools, agents, automations, or workflows that transformed real work processes (not just using AI as a chatbot — building with it); proficiency with AI development tools and platforms (e.g., Claude, Claude Code, Codex, custom agent frameworks, API integrations, and workflow automation tools); track record of coaching, teaching, or enabling others — formally or informally — with evidence that people you've helped changed how they work; and familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, process mapping, etc.) or structured consulting frameworks.

Preferred qualifications include experience with change management, organizational transformation, or large-scale enablement programs; familiarity with Procurement technology stacks (e.g., Zip, Ramp, Oracle, etc.); experience building and scaling internal tools, templates, or playbooks that were adopted beyond your immediate team; background in consulting, solutions engineering, technical account management, or other client-facing technical roles; and familiarity with the payments industry and fintech landscape.

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $123,600 - $185,400. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
