Histotech or Histology Technician opening at a state of the art laboratory in Eastern Wisconsin! This laboratory prides itself on using the most innovative technologies and techniques available. In addition, this laboratory is fully automated and is able to provide more consistent and accurate results. In addition, their technology enables their patient safety efforts through a bar code system that tracks specimens as they move through the lab, reducing the risk of any errors. This growing laboratory has locations throughout the Midwest as well as the East Coast but is hiring for their Wisconsin-based laboratory. This is a permanent and full time position on either day, evening or night shift! The histotech will be responsible for complex histological procedures and techniques such as grossing, cutting, staining, drying and freezing as well as preparing tissue specimens for routine and special procedures. For consideration, applicants should have HT or HTL ASCP Certification as well as an Associate's Degree in Histology or a related field. Applicants without their certification will also be considered! This laboratory does have the resources to help individuals obtain his or her ASCP which is an incredible opportunity.
