About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days/Eves/Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience and 2 years working as a Traveler License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float to 8 different units. Telemetry monitoring skills, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips. Experience with cardiac drips and reading telemetry strips. Description: This position is responsible for cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips. The individual will float throughout the hospital to various Med/Surg Tele areas. The clinician-to-patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 during nights. Patient population includes care for border patients and those in acute mental health units. Non-vented patients who are transfer ready from the ICU will also be cared for. Units range from 8 to 41 beds. The role requires rotating shifts, with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract. Experience in using an EMR system is essential.
