Job Information Title: Environmental Scientist Classification: ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST Salary Ranges: $4,418.00 - $6,035.00 (Level A); $5,370.00 - $7,350.00 (Level B); $6,796.00 - $9,321.00 (Level C) Job Code #: JC-511379 Position #: 835-838-0762-005 Number of Positions: 1 Location: Sacramento County Telework: Hybrid Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Department: California’s Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) Responsibilities Under direction of a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory) in the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) Evaluation Unit, the Environmental Scientist will: implement and evaluate LEA certification and Tyre Enforcement Agency (TEA) programs; gather and analyze complex data from multiple sources; review compliance regarding solid waste facility permitting, inspection, closure, and maintenance; communicate findings and recommendations to local governments and CalRecycle management; participate in forums, workgroups, and special projects within CalRecycle; and travel as necessary. Special Requirements Possession and maintenance of a valid California Drivers License (CDL) with required number, class, expiration, endorsements, and restrictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
