Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless accommodation is granted as required by law.The Financial Accounting Analyst Senior is responsible for providing technical leadership and setting strategic direction of projects.How You Will Make an Impact:Manages close processes, related analysis and reporting.May lead teams of associates. Reviews and approves journal entries and reconciliations.Prepares and reviews monthly and quarterly financial reports and complex analysis.Designs research plans for data gathering and analysis and manages projects to deadlines.Responsible for initiation and resolution of complex accounting problems requiring technical expertise.Mentors, trains, and coaches lower-level accountants.Minimum Requirements:Requires BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, or related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience in general accounting, finance or budgeting and planning in a large for profit organization; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.Job Level:Non-Management ExemptWorkshift:1st Shift (United States of America)Job Family:AFA > AccountingElevance Health is a health company dedicated to improving lives and communities – and making healthcare simpler.
