● About Facility:
o 2301 US Hwy 74 Wadesboro, NC 28170
o 15 bed hospital, 8 bed ED attached to a Primary Care Clinic
o Pathway designated facility
● Unit Information:
o Beds: 1
▪ Census? Average patients/day? 4-8 echoes per day
o Minimum Years of Experience required? Over 1 year
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Adult inpatient
o Emergency department
o Outpatient
o Could help with precepting other Echo Techs, but not a firm requirement
● Required License, National Certification, Certs:
o BLS
o ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RCIS accepted
o Graduate of accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred
● Skills required:
o Experience with above patient types, adult transthoracic echocardiography, contrast studies, doppler and color flow imaging
o No TEEs or stress echoes
o Soft skills: ability to work independently and good time management
● Support within the Department:
o Remote leadership support available
o RT 24/7
o Hospitalist 24/7
o Radiologist available
o Limited transporter availability
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o PACS: ISCV by Phillips
o Unit specific equipment: Phillips EPIQ ultrasound - preferred
● Floating: If yes, where?
o Could float to nearby Advocate Health facilities based on department needs
● Orientation (facility and unit) :
o Department orientation and EPIC training provided
o Initial scanning competency assessment required
● Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: none
o On call? No
o Holiday Expectations: As needed based on department needs
o Approval of RTO: ok to approve up to 7 days
o Shift times: 0800-1630
o Schedule cycle: Monday - Friday
