Position at a Glance Location: Pennsville, NJ Position Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Address: 454 North Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070 Pay: $17.00 – $45.00 per hour, based on experience; 2nd Shift is eligible for a pay differential Sign‑On Bonus: Earn up to $5,000 for Expert and Master‑Level Diesel Technicians! What You’ll Do Perform minor to advanced repairs as outlined on the repair order Diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs as directed by a supervisor Assist other technicians on major repairs Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts Save and tag warranty or customer‑requested parts Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs Document all work performed and recommended, including warranty information Road test vehicles as required or refer to test technician Keep work area, service truck, and customer vehicles clean and organized Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor Stay current on manufacturer technical bulletins Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, and adhere to Hunter Truck safety policies Expert To Master Levels Will Also Handle complex mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision Perform electrical and/or air conditioning system repairs Perform major component repairs and/or overhauls What You Bring Education & Experience: Vocational/technical school graduate with a minimum of three (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Must have experience in engine and driveline troubleshooting. Must have experience in electrical repair and air conditioning systems. Must have component overhaul experience and/or specialty (A/C or electrical) experience. Must be able to obtain passing grade during Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and/or vendor training. Must have good supply of most hand tools to complete most repairs. Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards. Physical Requirements: Regular standing and use of hands; frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs, frequently up to 100 lbs, and occasionally more than 100 lbs.
