Senior Principal IT Architect - SAP Master Data Governance

Medtronic seeks a Senior Principal IT Architect to define enterprise architecture and strategy for SAP Master Data Governance capabilities. This role serves as technical authority for master data management across the organization, driving scalable solutions aligned with SAP S/4HANA transformation and business innovation. Position requires onsite presence four days per week in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Define enterprise architecture, strategy, standards, and governance frameworks for SAP MDG and master data management
- Lead architecture and technical governance for SAP MDG integrated with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BTP, and third-party applications
- Serve as technical authority for material, customer, supplier, finance, product, and reference data domains
- Develop prototypes and validate solutions for data quality, workflow, automation, and AI-enabled data management
- Provide technical leadership during major implementations, data conversions, and production issue resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years IT experience, or advanced degree with 8+ years IT experience
- 8+ years designing and implementing SAP MDG solutions with 5+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles
- Experience leading large-scale SAP transformation programs from discovery through production deployment
- Expertise with SAP configuration, data modeling, integration, APIs, workflow, and data quality
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into enterprise solutions in regulated environments
