Cardiovascular Key Account Manager, San Antonio, TX

Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager for the San Antonio territory to develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned health systems. The role involves managing relationships with clinical and administrative decision-makers, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving utilization of cardiovascular products while ensuring compliant engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned to cardiovascular strategy and institutional needs
- Lead engagement with clinical opinion leaders, P&T committees, and health system decision-makers across cardiology, lipidology, and pharmacy
- Coordinate pull-through initiatives and access strategies across field teams and matrix partners
- Monitor account performance, market dynamics, and competitive landscape; provide field intelligence to internal teams
- Ensure compliant delivery of MAC-approved data and support institutional availability across inpatient and ambulatory settings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 6 years sales/account management experience, or Master's degree plus 4 years, or Doctorate plus 2 years
- 3+ years account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
- Cardiology experience including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes highly preferred
- Knowledge of hospital committee structures, P&T processes, and CMS policies
- Understanding of community cardiology practices and healthcare market dynamics
- Advanced degree such as MPH, MBA, or PharmD preferred
