Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Telemetry

Location

Plymouth, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekends and holidays expected | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical Telemetry floors as part of a float pool, rotating to all Med Surg Telemetry units as needed
• Float to like units and overflow areas as assigned
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols
• Apply knowledge of critical pathways to support patient care planning and outcomes
• Complete and pass required Dysrhythmia and Medication competency exams prior to assignment start (85% passing score required; one attempt only)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required
• Must pass Telemetry Competency Exam prior to assignment (85% minimum; one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit)
• Candidates must have been separated from this facility system for at least six months to be eligible for consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Documented professional development activities
• Familiarity with critical pathways in a Med Surg Telemetry setting
