Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Oklahoma license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO).

Additional Details:

Unit Details: - Patient ratios: 1:6, not guaranteed. - Remote telemetry monitored by ICU. - Surgical patients and med/surg overflow, including ortho, bowel, urologic, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, dental, back, pneumonia, chest pain, and COPD.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend shifts are Friday and Saturday nights, 7p-7a. - No call; if placed on standby for a scheduled shift, must be available to come in anytime during the scheduled 7p-7a shift.

Floating Requirements: - Float to other med/surg departments.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• CPEN (Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
