Requirements

Licensing/Certification

• Required: Current RN License in the state in which they are working or covered by compact
• Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Required: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; required within 6 months of hire
• Required: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; required within 6 months of hire
• Required: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Required: CPI De-escalation Training
• Required: Copy of nursing diploma
• Preferred: NPR (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Education

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science Nursing

Work Experience

• Required: 1 year of RN experience
• Preferred: Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
• Strongly Preferred: Experience in large ED/trauma centers

Training

• Preferred: EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
• Note: EPIC experience very strongly preferred (must be proficient within the last year)
• Required: MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation
