Our client, a rapidly growing force in the CPG and wellness sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of D2C to elevate our direct-to-consumer strategy and execution. This pivotal role will own the end-to-end performance of our D2C channels, serving as the strategic partner responsible for driving aggressive revenue targets and ensuring an exceptional customer journey. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Commercialization, this position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our D2C business, which is the foundation of our company's success.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-growth, "scrappy" startup environment, capable of independent leadership and growth within the company. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for operational excellence, willing to "roll up their sleeves" to get things done, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and scaling. This is a remote position, though candidates must be available to work East Coast hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the comprehensive performance and health of the D2C channel, including aggressive revenue targets and overall business growth.

• Lead the end-to-end execution and optimization of the website business (roadnutrition.com, built on Shopify), ensuring a pixel-perfect customer experience.

• Drive day-to-day operational excellence, ensuring the e-commerce business runs smoothly, efficiently, and with continuous improvement.

• Manage and inspire a dedicated e-commerce manager, fostering a high-performance team culture.

• Oversee and collaborate with external partners, including development agencies, CRO agencies, and the Amazon agency (OMP), ensuring timely and effective execution.

• Partner strategically with the marketing growth team (Meta, Google, TikTok Shop) to optimize paid revenue channels and drive qualified traffic to the website.

• Collaborate with the internal customer lifecycle team on email, SMS, CRM, and subscription strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention.

• Proactively identify and implement improvements across the D2C ecosystem, scaling processes and technologies to support rapid business expansion.

• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, ensuring efficient task execution and adherence to timelines across all D2C initiatives.

REQUIRED / MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in D2C e-commerce leadership roles, demonstrating a strong trajectory in driving revenue growth.

• Mandatory experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a strong understanding of CPG go-to-market strategies.

• Proven proficiency in Shopify, with hands-on experience managing and optimizing the platform for performance and customer experience.

• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and execute in a high-growth startup environment, embracing a "scrappy" and lean operational style.

• Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing direct reports and external agency partners to achieve business objectives.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions, identify opportunities, and communicate insights to cross-functional teams.

• Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring flawless execution and a superior customer journey.

• Ability to proactively identify challenges and opportunities, translating them into scalable solutions for business improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the wellness sector within CPG.

• Knowledge of how paid channels (Meta, Google, TikTok) drive traffic and conversions, and the ability to effectively communicate with growth marketing teams.

• Experience with Amazon Seller Central and an understanding of Amazon's ecosystem.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Compensation: Upwards of $200,000 base salary.

• Incentive Compensation: Opportunity for incentive compensation based on performance.

• Healthcare: Company covers 75% of medical, dental, and vision premiums.

• 401(k): A 401(k) match will be added in 2027.

• Work Arrangement: Remote position. Candidates must be available during East Coast hours, with some flexibility for those in other time zones.

• Equity: Not offered for this role.
