Retail Sales Associate

Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who creates those experiences; someone who connects easily with others and can drive sales while making customers feel special. This role requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays, reporting to the Store Manager and following guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and other team specialists. What You'll Do Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention Assist with the opening and closing of the store retail environment Handle cash properly Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos Support fellow sales agents when needed Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings by participating in regular training classes May be required to work in other locations in the same geographical area What's In It For You? Variable targeted total compensation of $49,668 (approximately $23.88/hr), with top 10% earners reaching an average annual compensation of just over $63,655 ($30.60/hr). Compensation includes a full‑time hourly base rate of $16.50/hr plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,279, with up to 2 months ramp period for commission earnings. Who You Are Minimum HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative, solutions‑based selling Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced service environment Ability to be mobile within the store for extended periods of time Computer literacy with aptitude for learning communication products and services Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays Ability to lift 25‑50 pounds to manage stock room inventory Preferred Some college experience with focus in sales, business and/or management One year of experience in a related field (e.g., sales, retail sales, service industry) Experience selling wireless/mobile products Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken Compensation Hourly pay ranges from $15.29 to $22.88 per hour, varying by location and candidate experience. Eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00. Benefits Employees receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off each month and seven paid holidays per year.
