About the role We're seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who is passionate about building a product that our users love. You'll work closely with the founder and users to design and implement new concepts and ideas. You'll own the modeling engine, from research to production, and be responsible for delivering the best value to our users. Your decisions will shape the product and its future. What you'll do Build and ship the modeling engine at the core of the product, owning the design from research to production Lead modeling innovation, with a focus on the latest in machine learning and artificial intelligence Own model quality, from evaluation and benchmarking through to what ships Shape the product and its future, to lead the new era of predictive modeling Elevate the team, by bringing your own ideas and expertise to the table Partner with the founder, to build a product that our users love What we're looking for Experience taking machine learning models to production at a software company with a high engineering bar Strong programming skills, with experience across research code and production systems Track record of moving model quality on real problems, not just benchmarks Experience with the full modeling lifecycle, from data and features through training, evaluation, and monitoring Cares deeply about rigorous evaluation and knowing when a model is genuinely better Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment High level of autonomy and ownership Thrives in a remote, asynchronous environment with a lean, high-output team Domain knowledge in predictive modeling and data science You'll love this if You want to enable users to build models that people actually rely on to make decisions.
