Software Configuration Manager

Salary: $145,000 - 175,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least seven years of experience with modern configuration management (SCM) tools, frameworks, and architecture, including installation, configuration, and administration of industry-standard tools such as Telelogic Synergy/CM, StarTeam, PVCS-Dimensions, MKS IM and SI, ClearCase/ClearQuest/UCM, Maven, Cruise Control, and Anthill.
• We require at least three years of scripting experience, including strong Shell, Perl, or Python skills.
• We require experience handling complex service requests, such as configuring project builds and creating controlled scripts.
• We require working knowledge and hands-on experience with Java/J2EE and Microsoft VB/.NET platforms, as well as Java and object-oriented design principles.
• We require hands-on experience customizing SCM tools and workflows, including user exits, triggers, roles, and notifications.
• We require experience creating or customizing build automation tools across Windows Server, Linux, and UNIX environments.
• We require knowledge of software development lifecycles, change and version control, baseline creation and identification, and configuration management metrics and reporting.
• We require experience with SQL and relational databases, SOA principles, and administration of Subversion or another version control system.
• We require strong Windows, Linux, and UNIX experience.
• We require demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts in federal environments, including the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, or military organizations. Experience on the same or a similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment and operational needs, is highly desirable.
• We require a bachelors degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
• We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to receive a Public Trust clearance.

• We identify tools, technologies, and processes that improve the reliability, repeatability, and efficiency of software builds and releases.
• We manage and control multiple source code repositories.
• We validate application configurations and source code changes across builds for multiple complex applications.
• We oversee source code migration between development, test, staging, and production environments.
• We develop scripts or code to automate and integrate selected configuration management tools.
• We collaborate with systems administrators to automate application deployment and production configuration.
• We maintain traceability between source code artifacts and development, test, and production build versions.
• We install and configure applications in development and test environments.
• We track, control, and report software change status to management.
• We train and mentor colleagues in the effective use of automated build and deployment systems.
• We use scripting and automation for software builds and deployment packages, applying current software development practices.

The FDICs IT Modernization Program emphasizes cloud adoption, including its enterprise ServiceNow platform. The target salary range is $145,000–$175,000, with final compensation based on factors including qualifications and contract parameters.
