Senior Manager- Technical Solution Designer for Drug Safety in Global IT

Within the Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance IT team, we support the entire Drug Safety area with end-to-end solutions.

Role Summary

As a Senior Manager- Technical Solution Designer in Global IT, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions to pharmacovigilance problems. Practically speaking, you will be the technical expert in how our Argus Safety, Safety Signals, Intake and reporting solutions are configured. All of these are SaaS solutions. When our SaaS solutions fall short, you will find ways to deliver functionality in collaboration with our Automation, Integration, AI and Analytics teams.

Let’s get specific on what the duties are:

• Design and implement technical configuration and solutions to support Drug Safety
• Translate criteria to specifications of configuration needed in our SaaS applications
• Either implement the configurations yourself, or work with the managed services provider or vendor to implement the configuration
• Map and own the mapping of the data sources needed for pharmacovigilance reporting from an IT standpoint, and ensure that we automate as much as possible
• Provide solutions to adjustments needed for configuration to support regulatory requirements
• Be visionary in improving our pharmacovigilance technical capabilities and suggest and implement improvements for automation, integration and seamless data flows
• Exposure to solution architecture can be expected.
• Provide and work with vendor L3 support for our SaaS solutions
• Assist with documentation and validation of solutions

Qualifications and experience

• Academic background, preferably a Master’s degree from a relevant study
• Solid experience with Argus Safety from a pharma context, minimum +7 years of relevant experience across complex organizations
• Background as an Engineer or Configuration Manager or equivalent technical role

Furthermore you may have:

• Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance
• Experience with working with SaaS vendors
• Connects people and creates shared understanding and direction
• Is good at collaborating with business in complex and ambiguous settings, handling conflicts constructively and helps groups move forward
