Aligned around a shared purpose, our $4.5B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and accountabilities include:Adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulationsAdhering to Company Tool Control Program.Complying with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.Ensuring proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.Maintaining appropriate records of all work accomplished.Performing simple computer input functions.Performing off-site service on assigned detachments.Performing corrosion control cleaning and removal as required utilizing appropriate safety precautions.Assisting to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.Performing other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification.Maintaining assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company Instructions.Reading, interpreting, and applying instructions from Blueprints, schematics, and other approved data.Assisting with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.Documenting work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF)/OOMA.Maintaining cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.Physical Demands:Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, lying down and working in tiring uncomfortable positions. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. May require the ability to work within confined spaces for extended periods of time. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.Work Environment:The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.QualificationsQualification standards include:Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) CAC (Commons Access Card)Minimum of three (3) years documented hands on general experience in this specific aircraft maintenance occupational field, or the military or commercial equivalent.Familiarity with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and normal safety requirements.Ability to meet any Government/company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.FAA A&P License is desired.Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Ability to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.Essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.Some travel will be required.Adherence to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.Completed High school diploma or equivalentValid State Drivers LicenseThe following must be obtained within six (6) months of start date, unless otherwise stated:Formal or Specialized Training/EquivalentHazardous Waste Communication TrainingFOD and TCP Awareness TrainedCNAF 4790.2 Program AwarenessISO 9001-2000 Program AwarenessOOMA System TrainedGround Support Equipment Operator CertifiedFAA A&P License (desired)ESD TrainedEgress System CheckoutAircraft Confined Space Entrant Trained # (may be required)Duct diver - Ability to perform services lying down within confined spaces.
