Sterile Processing Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining sterile environments and ensuring the safety and efficiency of medical equipment for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Ensure all equipment is correctly maintained and readily available for use.
• Float to Endoscopy or Sterile Processing Department as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization and processing activities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing.
• Active Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) is required.
• Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Epic and Censitrac.

Shift Information

This position is for an 8-hour mid shift from 12 PM to 8 PM, including variable weekend call responsibilities. Weekend evening and night on-call requirements include 2 calls per 6-week schedule, with a 30-minute callback time.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided by the facility. This role is essential in ensuring our medical teams have the tools they need to provide exceptional patient care.
