Responsibilities/Accountabilities

We have an amazing opportunity for a Life Enrichment Director that can:

• Monitors quality and effectiveness of all of the resident programming including admission assessment and care plans

• Evaluates the activity program through consultation with the residents and families, CEO/Administrator, other department leaders, and outside sources as appropriate. Implements needed changes as indicated by evaluation

• Coordinates with Administrators in the maintenance of a harmonious working relationship between Nursing Home and Assisted Living programming

• In coordination with Volunteer Coordinator, assists with placement and supervision of volunteers

Experience/Skills/Education

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Current CPR certification or able to obtain certification within three months of employment

• Must possess valid Virginia driver’s license and good driving record. Must be willing to drive residents in facility van or bus as needed

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills

Preferred:

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
