Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (11:00–21:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a diverse OR environment encompassing orthopedic/total joint, trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic surgical specialties
• Assist with a broad range of surgical procedures including but not limited to laparoscopic, robotic (Da Vinci Xi), vascular, thoracic, spine, and reconstructive cases
• Perform phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement as mandatory competencies required for all RNs in this role
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required by the unit
• Adhere to universal protocol (time-out procedure), infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and specimen handling/labeling standards
• Float to other areas within the facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission (pending licensure not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
• EPIC EMR experience is a hard requirement
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedic/total joint, neuro, vascular, thoracic, and GYN/urology
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgery, including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Experience with complex procedures such as Whipple, craniotomy, VATS, and endovascular aneurysm repair
• Ability to accommodate a block schedule (accommodations will be considered on a best-effort basis)
