Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality outpatient nursing care in a clinical setting, ensuring accurate assessments, patient education, and timely interventions. Support diagnosis and treatment processes while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments and screenings, including vital signs and clinical evaluations.
• Collect blood samples and conduct phlebotomy to facilitate laboratory testing.
• Administer medications, including PO, IM, and vaccines, following safety protocols.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health records, demonstrating technology literacy.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Conduct wound care and manage patient recalls for abnormal lab results as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid NY nursing license or ETA with an in-hand license.
• Have at least 2 years of outpatient nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in vital signs, medication administration, and patient assessments.
• Be capable of completing EKG testing within 72 hours if required for the unit.
• Hold current certifications; copies may be required if not already on file.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with travel and licensing requirements.
