Quality Inspector  2 ND Shift | $18/hr. + based on experience | 2:30pm – 1a m

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a precision manufacturing team in the Painesville area. This position is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections on precision-machined metal components to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a machining or manufacturing environment and be comfortable using precision measuring equipment, visual inspection tools, and magnification devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined metal components
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and conformance to specifications
• Utilize measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection tools
• Perform detailed visual inspections using magnification equipment and microscopes when required
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and inspection criteria
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
• Identify and report nonconforming products
• Assist with packaging and verification of completed parts as required
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures

  Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred
• Experience inspecting precision-machined components strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
• Comfortable performing microscope and magnified visual inspections
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

The base salary for this position is $18/hr. or more based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
