We are experts known for leading challenging processes and bringing together disparate stakeholder groups.Role Overview:The Turnaround & Restructuring (T&R) Managing Director role is an experienced senior level position that leads and manages client engagement team(s) through challenging in-and-out of court turnaround and restructuring situations.Responsibilities:Leads the final delivery of analyses developed on engagement(s)Leads and provides guidance on complex analyses and restructuring alternatives pertinent to the situation at handHas a view on various restructuring concepts informed by prior experience and expertiseUnderstands complex issues with credit agreements and can structure provision and terms to best protect the clientNegotiate waivers, forbearances, amendments and terms to credit agreementsEffectively manages entire project work plan for engagement(s)Manages the development and presentation of final client deliverablesDetermines effective approach / content level based on previous experiences in similar situationsLeads presentations and large meetings with senior clients, other professionals and parties in interestMaintains day to day relationships between Ankura team and senior client executivesOversees the quality of engagement(s) and the development of staffRequirements:Minimum 10 years of relevant restructuring / distressed experience in a professional service or consulting firm environmentPrior hands-on experience building / developing / overseeing integrated 3-statement financial and 13-week cash flow modelsAn undergraduate degree from a top academic institutionAdvanced degree(s) and applicable professional certification(s) are preferred (CFA, CIRA, CPA)High energy style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a very fast paced environmentAbility to adapt to complex client environments and situationsProven track record of effectively planning for and proactively mitigates risks on projects and work streamsExpertise defining, influencing and driving change at executive levels and across the broader community of stakeholdersExceptional negotiation skills with complex/sophisticated situations involving senior level stakeholdersAble to develop credible recommendations under shortened time constraints and imperfect informationQuickly recognizes critical areas requiring analysis and review while understanding the big pictureExperience synthesizing complex unstructured information rapidly and applies good business judgment driving quickly to deep insights into possible impacts and solutionsExpert written communication skills, self-directed with preparation of client ready document and presentation developmentArticulate, persuasive, communicator who is adept at handling executive and difficult audiences well including ability to adapt style to audienceAbility and willingness to undertake extensive travel is requiredWillingness to work at times, long hours during the week and on weekends due to client demands may be necessary#LI-MJ1#LI-Hybrid*Ankura is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
