What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or members of the campus community while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
