Benefits: 401(k) Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Company: EBway LLC Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida Employment Type: Full-time Reports To: Plant Manager Position Summary EBway LLC, a precision metal-stamping manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and supporting equipment. This position is responsible for responding to equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes, completing mechanical and electrical repairs, and helping prevent recurring failures. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly on industrial equipment and has experience with mechanical systems, motors, sensors, electrical controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC-controlled machinery. This is a hands-on position. The technician must be willing to disassemble machinery, remove and replace motors and other components, work around oil and grease, and perform repairs on the production floor. Primary Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems on production machinery. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and work with production supervisors to restore equipment safely. Maintain and repair mechanical and hydraulic stamping presses, material-feed systems, deburring equipment, CNC equipment, compressors, and other manufacturing machinery. Diagnose problems involving motors, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, solenoids, valves, wiring, and control components. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and work with remote engineering support when programming assistance is required. Install and adjust sensors, safety devices, switches, and other machine-control components. Remove, clean, repair, and replace motors, pumps, cylinders, bearings, belts, and related components. Identify and order appropriate replacement parts. Measure or document obsolete components so replacement parts can be manufactured or redesigned. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records. Inspect machinery for developing problems and correct them before they result in significant downtime. Help establish machine-specific spare-parts inventories and recommended minimum stock levels. Maintain current electrical diagrams, PLC backups, equipment manuals, parts lists, and troubleshooting documentation. Work with outside equipment manufacturers, electricians, machine shops, and service technicians when necessary. Assist with equipment installations, machine modifications, process improvements, and automation projects. Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all company safety requirements. Keep maintenance tools, parts, and work areas organized. Required Qualifications Three or more years of hands-on industrial maintenance, electromechanical, or manufacturing-equipment experience. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair ability. Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and electrical safety. Experience troubleshooting motors, sensors, relays, contactors, switches, and machine wiring. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals. Ability to use a multimeter and standard mechanical and electrical diagnostic tools. Willingness and ability to perform physically demanding and occasionally dirty repair work. Ability to troubleshoot systematically and work independently. Strong organizational and communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining mechanical or hydraulic stamping presses. Experience with coil-feed systems, straighteners, servo feeds, light curtains, and press-safety controls. Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery. Ability to connect to PLCs, review inputs and outputs, identify faults, and make minor program changes. Experience with variable-frequency drives and industrial motor controls. Basic machining, welding, fabrication, or CAD experience. Experience creating or improving preventive-maintenance programs. Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical technology, automation, or a related field. Experience in a precision manufacturing or metal-stamping environment. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work around industrial equipment. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic instruments, and lifting equipment safely. Comfortable working around machinery, metalworking fluids, oil, grease, noise, and normal manufacturing conditions. Availability to respond to urgent equipment problems during scheduled working hours and occasional overtime when required. Improve preventive-maintenance completion. Maintain an organized inventory of critical spare parts. Document machine problems and repairs clearly. Work effectively with production supervisors and remote engineering support. Compensation and Benefits Compensation will be based on experience and technical capability.
