About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience. First-time travelers are welcome, but travel experience is preferred. Local travelers must live more than 30 miles from the facility. License: Valid state nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS required. TNCC and CPI preferred. Must-Have: Experience with both adult and pediatric patients is required. Travelers must be flexible regarding scheduling. Requests for block scheduling cannot be accommodated. RTO must be discussed during the interview. Description: This position requires an emergency room nurse with experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients. Travel nurses are a critical part of the team providing care in the emergency department. The nurse will work on a day shift for 12-hour shifts. The nurse will be part of a team with a patient ratio of 1:4. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Candidates must have skills in areas such as arterial line management, IV management, and emergency medications. Experience with Cerner charting is preferred. A strong ability to manage patients experiencing acute psychosis, traumatic brain injuries, and multi-system organ dysfunction is essential. Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members is expected. Nurses should have strong triage skills and be able to respond efficiently to emergency situations. The daily census is approximately 10 patients, with around 24 visits per day. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic emergency department environment.
