Model Maker

Our client, a leader in innovative vehicle development, is seeking a Model Maker to join their team. As a Model Maker, you will be part of the prototyping department supporting vehicle development projects. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, excellent craftsmanship skills, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Model Maker

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $61/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Develop rapid first articles and prototypes to support autonomous mobility solutions.
• Collaborate with internal partners and prototyping teams to facilitate quick iteration cycles.
• Support projects with metalwork, composites, additive manufacturing, and other fabrication techniques.
• Maintain a high level of shop cleanliness and organization at all times.
• Communicate project updates, timelines, and quality requirements professionally.

What's Needed?

• At least 2+ years of experience as a model maker or fabricator.
• Basic proficiency with CAD tools such as Solidworks and reading engineering drawings.
• Experience with CNC operation and craftsmanship skills including hand-tool use and de-burring.
• Ability to evaluate and communicate design for fabrication.
• Strong customer service mindset and a desire to learn and grow.
