Schedule: 36 Hours per Week | Tuesday-Friday (Typically 7:30 AM-4:30 PM)

Contract: 2026-2027 School Year

Position Overview

We're seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a mild/moderate resource classroom setting. This role offers the opportunity to provide individualized instruction, collaborate with educational teams, and help students achieve meaningful academic and personal growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs

• Implement accommodations and modifications to support student success

• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation

• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff

• Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning

• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

• Support students academically, socially, and emotionally

• Active Colorado Special Education Teaching License

Compensation

?? Up to $50/hour

?? Travel packages available for qualified candidates, including housing and meal stipends.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
