Inspire young minds and make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher. This rewarding opportunity focuses on providing essential support to students with significant needs in an elementary school environment. Work closely with a committed educational team, delivering personalized instruction and building relationships with students and families. This is an onsite position with a supportive atmosphere and a consistent Tuesday-Friday schedule—giving you Mondays free to recharge and plan.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education licensure required
- Experience working with students requiring significant support needs in a school setting preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver effective instruction for students with significant support needs, adapting lessons to each child’s abilities and goals
- Develop and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) and collaborate with related service providers, parents, and general education staff
- Implement behavior intervention plans and use data-driven strategies to support student progress
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages student engagement, growth, and independence
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with families and team members
Working Hours & Schedule:
- 34 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Enjoy a four-day workweek with Mondays off
