Anesthesia Technologist will assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia. Preparation of anesthesia equipment prior to the patient's arrival is required. Placement of anesthesia monitors and ensuring the cleanliness of anesthesia equipment is essential. Ensuring the availability of specialized anesthesia equipment and supplies is a critical task. Assist clinicians with difficult intubations and the placement of central line catheters. Operate the cell-saver machine and keep track of lab reports. Participation in advanced surgical cases, such as cardiac, liver transplant, and trauma, is expected. Provide primary support to ensure that the anesthesia equipment is in good working order and preventive maintenance is completed. Set up and operate sophisticated equipment while performing advanced troubleshooting. Serve as the key resource person in using and maintaining specialized equipment. Assist in the development and implementation of in-service training programs. Train staff in the roles and responsibilities of an anesthesia technologist. Perform anesthesia equipment setup and troubleshooting. Work with other units to ensure availability of specialized anesthesia equipment. Provide backup to the shift supervisor in their absence. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or operations manager.
