Chemical Manufacturing Supervisor at Danaher Corporation Torrance, CA

Overview The Chemical Manufacturing Supervisor will lead and direct manufacturing technicians, monitor work quality, ensure proper training, address maintenance issues, and oversee daily plant operations, including process and procedure improvement activities. This on‑site role reports to the Senior Manager, Media Manufacturing in Torrance, CA. Responsibilities Provide guidance and direction to the manufacturing team of assigned work cells. Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures. Coordinate daily production floor activities and delegate assignments to production personnel. Monitor and enforce safety policies. Ensure all assigned work cells are producing product to the company's quality standards. Essential Requirements 7+ years of work experience or a bachelor’s degree. Leadership experience. Experience in chemical manufacturing and/or chemical handling. Physical and Environmental Requirements Occasional travel may be required—no more than 5%. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects or tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk, and hear. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Additional Desired Experience BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (preferred). Proficiency in problem‑solving tools, root‑cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions and countermeasures. Experience implementing change using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods and practices. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $76,960.00 – $89,440.00. The role is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
