About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving all fundraising, philanthropic partnership, and donor engagement initiatives to support the organization's mission. This role requires a strategic leader who can execute a comprehensive development strategy, foster a culture of philanthropy, and partner with the CEO and board members to create and execute annual fundraising plans. The Vice President will lead all philanthropic fundraising efforts, including major gifts, annual giving, institutional giving, grants, and special events, and will be expected to have a proven track record in securing diverse funding sources. Team leadership, visionary guidance, and a strong commitment to the organization's values are essential. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 8-10 years' progressive fundraising leadership experience. The role demands exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, as well as strong strategic, financial, and analytical acumen. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, mission-driven leader with a history of fostering high-performing teams and a culture of philanthropy. Responsibilities also include providing support to the board of directors, identifying and engaging influential community members, and ensuring the board is effectively involved in fundraising.
