Responsibilities Position Summary: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Journey Traveler must travel nationwide on 13‑week assignments, providing speech‑language services in various settings. As necessary, supervise CFY temporary licensees, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements. Deliver rehab services efficiently, adhere to care plans, schedules, and document services promptly. Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences and related meetings. Make referrals, consult with the rehabilitation team, and adapt therapy plans to individual needs. Promote a safe environment, manage supplies, and maintain equipment. Prioritize patient service, ensuring quality care and compassion. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients; diagnose, set goals, and design care plans. Implement treatment plans, document all services, and maintain records. Apply therapeutic techniques across cognition, communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor skills, swallowing disorders, perception, orientation, memory, pragmatics, psychosocial expression, and functional communication. Perform Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) when trained and required. Coordinate adaptive communication devices and instruct patients. Identify hearing deficits and refer appropriately. Select activities suited to patient capacity and interests, and evaluate progress. Perform routine reexaminations to modify or progress the plan of treatment. Other duties as required. Qualifications The candidate must possess a master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled program accepted by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
