Today, our brands include Boost Mobile, DISH TV, Gen Mobile, Hughes and Sling TV.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Inventory Specialist manages the flow of material and equipment (satellite dishes, our award winning receivers and DVRs and associated hardware) in and out of the warehouse supporting both our internal and external customers.Key Responsibilities:Document the quantity and type of equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked in the warehouse and/or on vans, as well as all materials needed for various installations and service callsMaintain an accurate physical count of van products, warehouse products, and saleable products on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basisReceive returned equipment, new inventory, and vendor shipments; stock the inventory in the warehouse; prepare shipments for return to the re-manufacturing department, and record distributed hardware information in the computer tracking systemComplete daily inventory transactions for all products used, linking them to the proper accountsPrepare equipment shipments to remote employees, ensuring accurate documentation and timely deliveryOwn inventory accuracy performance by identifying, researching, and resolving inventory discrepancies across warehouse and field operationsExecute and maintain self-audit routines to proactively identify errors and ensure readiness for physical inventory auditsAnalyze inventory variance trends and partner with leadership to implement corrective actions and process improvementsServe as a subject matter expert for warehouse operations, supporting technicians and team members in proper inventory handling and accountabilityTrain and mentor Inventory Specialists and field employees on inventory processes, standards, and expectationsMaintain and improve warehouse organization, van layouts, and inventory processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and accuracy across all operationsSkills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:Proven experience managing inventory with accountability for accuracy, variance, and audit performanceExperience working in a metric-driven environment with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and operational performancePrior experience training, mentoring, or supporting others in operational or warehouse processes preferredSkills and Qualifications:Must possess a valid driver's license in the State you are seeking employment in, with a driving record that meets DISH's minimum safety standardWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, and will be compensated for overtimeEmployees must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and may occasionally be required to lift up to 125 poundsEmployees must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, and/or a forklift)Utilize computer systems and inventory tracking programs to manage and update inventory records efficiently and accuratelyDemonstrated ability to identify process gaps and implement solutions in a warehouse or logistics environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to determine root cause of inventory discrepanciesAbility to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and maintain high performance standards with minimal supervisionVisa sponsorship not available for this roleSalary RangesCompensation: $18.15/HourBenefitsWe offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: EchoStar Benefits.The base pay range shown is a guideline.
