Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary The Manufacturing Engineer supports business performance through equipment and process optimization. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role provides hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing challenges and works cross-functionally to identify and execute operational improvement opportunities. This position is ideal for a recent engineering graduate eager to learn, grow, and make an immediate impact on the plant floor. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Support continuous improvement efforts by working with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and prioritize improvement opportunitiesAssist in the design, documentation, and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment improvements focused on: Safe Work ConditionsEfficient and flexible operationsCost and productivity performance Participate in process improvement projects from concept through implementation under the guidance of senior engineersSpend significant time on the plant floor working alongside front-line teams to understand processes and ensure improvements are practical and manufacturableCollect, analyze, and present data to support problem-solving and decision-makingAssist with equipment layout, workflow optimization, and standard work developmentLearn and apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering fieldInternship, co-op, or senior project experience in a manufacturing or operations environment preferredFoundational understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety practicesExposure to process engineering, equipment design, or project management conceptsStrong collaborative skills and willingness to work cross-functionallyResourceful, curious, and eager to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environmentStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Preferred Skills Exposure to process engineering concepts and manufacturing workflowsBasic equipment or tooling design experience (academic or internship-based)Introductory project management skills, including task planning and executionCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and functionsResourceful, self-motivated, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and communication skills About the Company Groomers Choice is a trusted partner for professional pet groomers, providing high-quality grooming supplies, equipment, and education to help businesses thrive.
