Water/Wastewater Treatment Project Manager

Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a Water/Wastewater Treatment Project Manager in our Lubbock or El Paso, Texas office. Working together with our talented teams in West Texas, North Texas, and throughout the firm’s Treatment Practice in the southeastern United States, this position would be responsible for producing quality technical work, managing and developing staff, and growing client relationships.Primary Responsibilities:The candidate must have a proven ability to build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients, both internal and external, as well as representatives of local, state and federal regulatory agencies. A track record of successful project execution and growing business in the water/wastewater treatment field is a plus.The candidate will oversee the analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for various water treatment, wastewater treatment, reuse, and resource recovery facility projects. The candidate must have experience in managing project teams and coordinating workload and sales efforts of internal teams to serve clients.The individual must have proven project management skills in managing complex projects, multi-discipline treatment plant projects. Experience with projects in the $1M+ fee range is a plus.The candidate must have a mix of technical experience including but not limited to water or wastewater process design, treatment plant civil/structural/mechanical/electrical design, treatment process studies, and construction contract administration and management.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or in Environmental Engineering4+ years of related water and wastewater treatment experience with emphasis on plant process evaluation, design and construction with a preference on municipal treatment experienceStrong communication skills, written and verbal, and strong presentation and sales skills needed.Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license (or the ability to become licensed in Texas within 6 months).PreferredMaster's degree in Civil Engineering (concentration in Environmental) or Environmental EngineeringAbout Freese and NicholsAt the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
