Job PurposeTo provide an accurate estimate for projects set forth by the salesman to reflect the most accurate cost and margin for each project.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview Estimate Request in WrikeIdentify & Qualify Estimate RequestEstablish and maintain relationships with vendors in my territoryRequest pricing from vendors for each projectReview project specification & bid packageSubmit RFIsCheck for Addendum (Always check day of bid)Perform Scope ReviewIf bidding to GC’s, call and verify scopes required per GCSubmit scope letter to GCs for approvalIdentify completion dates, LDs, taxes, and wage ratesIdentify project budgetEnter Estimate in ProEstBase bid and all alternatesAccounting Request – Bid BondVerify if Bid Bond is 5% or 10% (allow 24 Hours for delivery)Establish value of Bid Bond based on historical values & current scope of workPerform project take-offQuantify all scopes of work per construction documentsIdentify areas of scope that require subcontractors or high-lead time quotesRequest Quotes for the Following:Freight Quotes (Turf & Specialty Infill)Graphics Quote from STR-PrefabTurf Removal/Installation QuoteShock Pad QuoteSubcontractor Quotes (If In-house crews are not used when estimating)Base SubcontractorTrack SubcontractorOtherCreate Draft Estimate for preliminary review with teamReview Quotes from VendorPerform scope check with subcontractors and vendors to ensure the bid scope is accurate.Verify tax information is correct (If tax exempt the estimator should obtain tax exempt certificatesVerify wage rates are accurate for the area.Generate Final Estimate with incorporation of reviewed quotesVerify margins with Sales TeamAssemble Complete Bid Package/ProposalCompile a complete bid package per contract documentsRequest samples if requiredRevisions to Project Estimate as required by ownerEach revision gets a new estimate in ProEstWrike Job Folder information must match ProEst Estimate before Folder goes to Operations.Produce all billable change orders per construction documents.Weekly bid review with Project TeamPlease note this description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
