It's an exciting time to join our business because Crown offers you the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in an expanding industry.Crown was founded with the goal of valuing and promoting sustainability and this vision continues to be essential to our long-term future.Job AccountabilitiesEnsures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rulesOperates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets from the outgoing conveyor line and transport inventory to the warehouse.Places inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.Loads outbound truck trailers with aluminum cans efficiently and accurately to ensure safe transport to customerUnderstands daily production schedule and corresponds with mgmt. leads, and coworkers accordinglyPerforms visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging qualityEnsures dunnage (ie: pallets, slip sheets, top frames etc) are available in outgoing area when Relief operator is breaking out coworkers.Transfers HFI'd pallets to proper storage locationsAssists in poor packing issues in outgoing dept.Monitors equipment, processes, or schedules, and reports problems to supervisorFollows all SOP's and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues ariseAssist QA in locating pallets for samplingKeeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeepingPerforms other related duties as requiredJob Requirements2-3 years previous forklift manufacturing/production experience.Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Ability to understand and speak basic English. Must be Crown certified to operate powered industrial trucks.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
