Step into a rewarding part-time role supporting student growth as an OT or COTA in a vibrant school setting. This contract opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and runs through the full 2026–2027 academic year. Based near Michigan City, IN, you'll provide outstanding occupational therapy services across Portage and a specialized campus in Valparaiso.

You'll enjoy a balanced schedule with two flexible workdays each week (Monday–Friday) from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 14 hours weekly. The schedule provides a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The caseload will be determined prior to your start, ensuring you can focus on delivering personalized assistance and skill development for students in need.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
• Previous school-based therapy experience preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Passion for helping children achieve their fullest potential
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services tailored to each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Assess student needs, document progress, and update records to support educational goals
• Engage in team meetings and contribute to IEP development and reviews
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
• Provide engaging interventions and strategies for fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
